Doug "Detroit Doug" Reith

Detroit Doug is one of those do-gooders that makes you feel like all is right in the world. A genuine altruist, he doesn't even brag about his volunteer work as a Teaching Assistant with Girl Develop It, or the websites he develops & donates to urban farmers, life coaches and other community organizations. Even the Drupal Association thinks he's tops; they awarded him a scholarship to attend DrupalCon.

Not only is he a beyond-decent human being, he is a darn good Drupal developer too (some people just have it all...bleh). He has been known to bring the razzle-dazzle to Drupal commerce development programs, migration projects, Drupal module development, custom theming and more. A graduate of the University of Michigan, Doug has been working with Drupal since he graduated with a degree in Computer Science.

Outside of development and do-goodery, Detroit Doug is a devoted year-round bicyclist, rock climber, twin, dancer and writer of sappy postcards. He is recognized in some circles for being the inspiration behind most of the diary entries written in 2004 in his home town (Sterling Heights, MI).
